How Mourinho’s Man Utd Could Line-Up Next Season With His 3 New Signings

Here is how we think Manchester United could line-up next season with Jose Mourinho’s three new signings all included. Check out the team here

Midfield

I think central midfield is certainly an area Mourinho will add to over the coming weeks with a powerful, box-to-box type likely to come in [Pogba?]. However, based on the current players I think Morgan Schneiderlin could force his way in to Mourinho’s plans.

He’s a player who follows orders and could do the Matic role that was so vital to Mourinho’s title-winning Chelsea side in 2015. Until the new midfielder arrives, Ander Herrera could see more game-time under the ‘Special One’ as United will need a ball-player in the middle of the park.

Michael Carrick will give Mourinho an experienced head for certain games while Marouane Fellaini could also be utilised to good effect in the more physical games but I don’t see either being regular starters.

Attack

Mourinho has confirmed that Wayne Rooney won’t play in midfield anymore so we should see the skipper restored at No.10 with new signing Ibrahimovic expected to be the main man ahead of youngster Marcus Rashford up front.

Anthony Martial should continue in his familiar left-sided attacking role while United’s latest new addition, Mkhitaryan, should be deployed in the right-wing position where he played so successfully for Borussia Dortmund forming an exciting attacking line-up.

So here is how United could line-up come the first day of the season:

With the addition of a world class central midfielder and possibly a new right-back, United will be looking very strong ahead of next season, and with Mourinho in the dugout they have the potential to take the Premier League title back to Old Trafford.

What would be your line-up next season?
