With reports emerging from the Bridge earlier this month from Stamford Bridge that Russian Billionaire Roman Abrahmovich was willing to dip into his wallet once more to give Chelsea a new look this January. We Chelsea fans can expect some substantial spending compared to past transfer windows. Then there is the ever lasting question of ‘who should we sign’?
Considering, that this could be the last time Roman heavily invests in the squad Carlo will need to take full advantage of this market to sign players who are younger and established. However, the problem is that the clubs who have such players will be reluctant to let go of such players. However, rather than going abroad there are already some players who would contribute to the squad we already have.
One such player that is emerging but not as much talked about is Marc Albrighton. This young English winger has fought the likes of Stewart Downing and Ashley Young and made the right hand flank in Aston Villa’s squad completely his. He is one player who could make a impact on the Chelsea squad and would be a long term signing and is already relatively established.
Another player who could contribute to the Chelsea squad is being chased by many top clubs including Manchester City and Arsenal. Edin Dzeko is only 24 but is an established Target Man and would fit in perfectly for Ancelotti’s playing style. The Bosnian wants a move to Manchester City but if Chelsea come knocking then the attraction of Champions League football would certainly push him towards Stamford Bridge. Also the tall Bosnian is not cup-tied for the Champions League and would be the perfect signing for Carlo Ancelotti.
A midfielder who was highly rated and has now moved into the background is Ever Banega. The Argentinian could come for cheap considering Valencia’s financial problems which persist despite their selling of David Villa and David Silva. The holding midfielder would also fit perfectly into Chelsea’s physical and fast playing style and would be an ideal replacement and player to play along side another physical player in Michael Essien.
The main point here is that Carlo Ancelotti needs to sign the best players available, but they have to be younger. Carlo Ancelotti will need to sign players that are already established. But most of these established players will not come cheap and so Ancelotti will have to do some serious digging.

I believe we should sign Aguero or Tevez and Lukaku for upfront…Pastore as Lampard replacement, Sanchez/Marin for Malouda replacement..Another holdin midfielder with a good passing game to partnet Essien..Phil Jones and Subotic for defence. Plus a decent 2nd goalkeeper..Alot of money this would cost..but it would sort us out for thelong-term future and set us up for alot more trophies in the upcomin years aswell.
Cech
Ivanovic, Terry, Subotic, Cole
Essien, Pastore, Mikel(or new holding midfielder)
Tevez or Aguero/Lukaku/Marin or Sanchez
Subs
Ramires, Mikel, Sturridge,Kakuta, Phil Jones, Keeper, Bosingwa mceachran

its a good thing abrahm. adds to the strength of the already aging chelsea squard with young players. I think 4 d january transfer, wat we need is jst sell some out n buy beta players. To sell:ferreira, bosingwa(bayern) to b replaced by G.cahill and fucile inclusive of our young bruma n ivanholt 4 d defence. In d midfield, jst one player is ok.someone wit drive, strength n style bt must b young. In d attack,to sell:kalou to b replaced by lukaku alone since we have benayoun, anelka 2geda wit kakuta n sturidge al 4warders n young,we dnt need to waste money buyin loads of strikers.
Cech.
Ivanovic(fucile),alex(G.cahill),terry,cole(fucile/ivanholt)
essien(ramires),josh(mikel),lampard(new buy).
Sturidge(benayoun),drogba(lukaku),malouda(anelka/kakuta)
jst four new signings n two sell outs 2 support d funds.
