The summer transfer window is in full swing so we’ll bring you all the latest transfer rumours and gossip from around the globe. Today, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham are linked with Ademola Lookman….

Arsenal and Liverpool are leading Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Charlton Athletic’s £2m-rated wonderkid Ademola Lookman this summer, according to the Mirror.

The 18-year-old joined the Charlton youth academy from Waterloo FC in 2014 and he was soon promoted to the first team set-up where he established himself as a regular in Russell Slade’s starting eleven during the second half of last season.

Lookman ended up scoring 5 goals in his 24 appearances in the Championship during the 2015/16 campaign to earn a place in the England Under-19 squad for this summers European Championships.

It looks like the teenager has caught the attention of several top flight clubs as the Mirror are claiming that Arsenal and Liverpool are leading Tottenham in the race to sign the highly-rated forward this summer.

The newspaper says that the Premier League trio all sent scouts to watch Lookman in action at the U-19 Euro finals where he made three appearances before the Three Lions crashed out to Italy in the semi-finals.

Charlton rewarded Lookman for his fine form with a long-term deal earlier this year so they have done well to protect their asset, however, the Mirror suggest that it won’t deter the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool or Spurs with the big-guns all ready to pay upwards of £2m to sign the striker before the end of the month.

I’m sure Charlton will do all they can to hang on to the youngster but they’ll find it extremely difficult to do so with three of England’s most powerful clubs vying for his signature this summer.

Arsene Wenger, Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino all have excellent records in developing young talent so it will be interesting to see which club Lookman chooses if Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham all end up tabling formal offers for his services.
