[Video Goals] Burnley 2-0 Liverpool: Poor Reds Crash At Turf Moor

By on August 20, 2016

Liverpool failed to reproduce their form from the Emirates last weekend after crashing to a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts came flying out the blocks and opened the scoring in just the second minute as Burnley pounced on a poor pass from Nathaniel Clyne before Sam Vokes crashed home a superb effort from the edge of the area.

Sean Dyche’s side doubled their advantage shortly before half time as Andre Gray did well to cut past two challenges before slotting home a left-footed shot past Simon Mignolet into the bottom corner for 2-0 in the 37th minute.

Liverpool created plenty of chances after the break but couldn’t find a way through the Burnley defence so the home side eased to a 2-0 victory.
