[Video Goals] Chelsea 3-2 Bristol Rovers: Batshuayi Scores Brace As Blues Progress

Michy Batshuayi scored twice as Chelsea booked their place in the third round of the EFL Cup with a 3-2 victory over Bristol Rovers at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 29th minute when Batshuayi lashed home a left-footed shot to make it 1-0 before Victor Moses curled home a stunner in the 31st minute for 2-0.

Bristol pulled one back in the 35th minute when Peter Hartley headed home from the middle of the box before Batshuayi restored Chelsea’s two-goal advantage with a close range finish just before half time.

The visitors set-up a thrilling second half after making it 3-2 from the penalty spot in the 48th minute after Pedro had conceded a spot kick.

The League One side pushed for an equaliser but Chelsea held on to secure a 3-2 win and book their place in the third round draw.
