The transfer window is now drawing to a close so we’ll bring you all the latest transfer rumours and gossip from around the globe. Today, Liverpool make their move for Christian Pulisic…

Jurgen Klopp is trying to raid his former club Borussia Dortmund after Liverpool submitted a formal £11m offer for American winger Christian Pulisic, according to the Mirror.

Klopp has been overseeing an overhaul of the Liverpool squad this summer having brought in seven new signings so far as he looks to put his own stamp on the Reds team following his arrival back in October.

Many thought the former Dortmund coach had concluded his transfer business but the absence of Sadio Mane from the Liverpool team during last weeks defeat at Burnley highlighted a hole in the Merseysiders squad.

It appears Klopp has now been convinced he needs to bring in another winger to add more depth to his attack and widespread reports on Saturday morning claim Liverpool have made their move for highly-rated American wonderkid Pulisic.

Klopp knows the teenager well as he promoted the 17-year-old to the first team squad during his final season at Dortmund and it looks as though the German coach is now hoping to lure the talented attacker to England.

The Mirror claim that Liverpool have tested Dortmund’s resolve with an opening £11m offer, however, the Bundesliga giants are believed to be desperate to keep hold of Pulisic so are expected to rebuff the Merseysiders advances.

Pulisic is considered one of the brightest prospects in European football having become the youngest player to score in the Bundesliga and despite his tender age, he’s already a full international with the United States, with six caps to his name so far.

He would be an exciting addition to the Liverpool squad if they were able to get a deal over the line but it seems they face a battle to persuade Dortmund in to doing business before the transfer window closes on Wednesday night.
