Manchester United will look to bounce back from their defeat at Feyenoord when they take on Watford at Vicarage Road on Sunday afternoon. Here is the side I think Mourinho will pick for the game:
Goalkeeper: Mourinho is expected to make plenty of changes to the side that played in the Europa League on Thursday night but David de Gea will keep his place in goal.
Defence: Luke Shaw was left back in Manchester to rest last night so he’s expected to get a recall at left-back with Marcos Rojo dropping out while Antonio Valencia should also come back in for Matteo Darmian at right-back.
Eric Bailly is a minor doubt after being treated for a knock in Rotterdam but the young defender should be passed fit to start with Daley Blind favourite to get a recall and Chris Smalling dropping back to the bench.
Midfield: Marouane Fellaini was another player who was rested on Thursday night so the Belgian international could come back in to the side with Paul Pogba dropping back in to the midfielder two after playing in a more advanced role against Feyenoord. Ander Herrera and Morgan Schneiderlin will make way.
Attack: Wayne Rooney didn’t travel to Holland last time out so the skipper is set to come back in to the side while Zlatan Ibrahimovic should also get a recall to lead the line up front after being a substitute in the Europa League.
Anthony Martial could keep his place on the left despite a disappointing display against Feyenoord but Henrikh Mkhitaryn has been ruled out with a thigh injury. Jesse Lingard was hauled off at half time during the defeat to Man City last week so Marcus Rashford may get the nod on the right side of attack.
Here is how we think United will line-up:
