[Video Goals] Arsenal 2-0 Basel: Walcott Scores Brace As Gunners Cruise

Arsenal secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over FC Basel at the Emirates on Wednesday night with Theo Walcott scoring both goals.

The Gunners came flying out the blocks once again and broke the deadlock in just the seventh minute when Theo Walcott headed home from close range following a pin-point cross from Alexis Sanchez.

The two attackers then combined again to double our advantage as Walcott played a one-two with the Chilean international before finishing off the post for 2-0 in the 26th minute.

We created a number of good opportunities throughout the rest of the match but a combination of sloppy finishing and good goalkeeping meant the score remained at 2-0.

With Paris Saint-Germain beating Ludogorets 3-1 in tonight’s other group game, we sit level on points at the top of the table after two games.
