[Video] Watch Danny Ings Score Hat-Trick As Liverpool U23’s Beat Ipswich

Liverpool striker Danny Ings sent out another message to Jurgen Klopp after scoring a hat-trick during the Under-23’s 3-0 win over Ipswich Town on Sunday afternoon.

Ings joined Liverpool from Burnley in the summer of 2015 but saw his debut season at Anfield disrupted by a serious knee injury which restricted him to making just 9 appearances for the first team while it also ended his hopes of playing for England at this summers European Championship finals.

The 24-year-old is now back in full training and has been patiently working his way back in to Klopp’s plans by improving his match fitness with the under-23’s and he continued his prolific run of form this weekend.

Ings opened the scoring against Ipswich on Sunday with a smart finish on the turn, made it 2-0 in the second half with a composed finish before completing his hat-trick to seal a comfortable 3-0 victory for the Merseysiders at Portman Road.

The first team squad continued their excellent start to the new season with a hard fought 2-1 victory over Swansea on Saturday so it’s going to be difficult for Ings to regain his first team place but the Englishman will surely force his way in to Klopp’s plans eventually if he continues this kind of form for the under-23’s.
