Tottenham Dealt Injury Blow: Star Set To Miss West Ham & Chelsea Games

Tottenham have been dealt another injury blow with the news that a defender is set to miss the upcoming games against West Ham and Chelsea with an ankle injury

Tottenham have been dealt another injury blow with the news that Ben Davies is set to miss the upcoming games against West Ham and Chelsea with an ankle injury, according to the Daily Mail.

Davies suffered the injury during Tottenham’s 1-0 Champions League defeat to Bayer Leverkusen at Wembley last Wednesday and was forced to miss Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal at the Emirates.

The full-back has already been ruled out of Wales’ World Cup qualifier against Serbia in Cardiff this weekend but it looks as though Davies is also set to miss at least two upcoming Premier League games and a crucial Champions League encounter with Monaco.

Speaking at the Football Association of Wales awards last night while wearing a protective boot, Davies is quoted by the Daily Mail as saying that he’s facing a few weeks on the sidelines.

“It’s not too good at the moment, I’ve just got to get ready,”

“It will be a good couple of weeks after this one to get back fit, so I’ve just got to work hard.”

It means Davies is now expected to miss the visit of West Ham to White Hart Lane after the international and the trip to Chelsea on November 26th, while the left-back will also sit out Tottenham’s vital Champions League clash at Monaco on the 22nd.

This will come as a blow to Mauricio Pochettino as Davies has been a dependable deputy for Danny Rose and the 23-year-old would have been in-line to start against Monaco later this month as he’s started three of Tottenham’s four Champions League games so far.

The news comes shortly after Pochettino confirmed that Dele Alli is also facing several weeks on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury so the injuries are starting to pile up at the wrong time of the season.
