Some of the Manchester United players have been celebrating online after they took a huge step towards securing qualification to the knockout stages of the Europa League having thrashed Feyenoord 4-0 at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

Wayne Rooney was recalled to the starting eleven and opened the scoring in the 35th minute with a fine goal to become United’s all-time leading goal-scorer in European football.

The skipper then set-up Juan Mata to make it 2-0 before Brad Jones put through his own net for 3-0 and Jesse Lingard put the icing on the cake with a stoppage time effort to wrap-up a comprehensive victory for Jose Mourinho’s men.

The result sees United move up to second place in Group A and to within touching distance of the knockout stages of the competition so it’s no wonder some of the players have taken to social media sites to celebrate the win.

Michael Carrick, Luke Shaw, Daley Blind, Juan Mata and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have all posted message to their followers on Twitter while Jesse Lingard and Antonio Valencia have uploaded photos and messages to their Instagram accounts.
