[VIDEO GOALS] Aston Villa 1-2 Tottenham: Van Der Vaart Double Seals Win For 10-man Spurs

Tottenham beat Aston Villa 2-1 at Villa Park to keep pace with the league leaders. Tottenham took the lead through Van der Vaart, who cooly slotted home Hutton’s low cross from close range. Jermaine Defoe was then controversially sent off for leading with the elbow after a collision with Collins. However despite being a man down, Spurs doubled their advantage, Van Der Vaart again on the scoresheet finishing off a flowing counter-attack. Aston Villa then got one back with 10 minutes remaining, Albrighton’s cross eluding everyone including the keeper to find the back of the net and make it 1-2.
