[Video Goals] Man City 1-3 Chelsea: Aguero Off As Blues Slay Pep’s City

By on December 3, 2016

It was a day to forget for Pep Guardiola as Chelsea came from behind to beat Manchester City 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium this afternoon with the hosts finishing the game with nine men following a late scuffle.

Chelsea started brightly but it was City who opened the scoring on the stroke of half time as Gary Cahill turned a Jesus Navas cross from the right wing in to his own net to send the hosts in to the break leading at 1-0.

However, Chelsea levelled things up shortly after half-time when Diego Costa fired home for 1-1 in the 60th minute before Willian raced clear to drill in to the bottom corner following a swift counter-attack to make it 2-1 to the visitors.

Chelsea then wrapped up the three points when Eden Hazard scored a third in the 90th minute before things boiled over in stoppage time with Sergio Aguero sent off for a lunge on David Luiz and Fernandinho was also dismissed for a scuffle with Cesc Fabregas.

The win sees Chelsea go four points clear of Liverpool at the top of the table ahead of the Merseysiders clash with Bournemouth on Sunday.
