[Video Goals] Crystal Place 1-2 Man Utd: Ibrahimovic Grabs Late Winner For Utd

By on December 14, 2016

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored late on to secure Manchester United a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace in a controversial game at Selhurst Park on Wednesday night.

It was a scrappy opening forty-five minutes but United broke the deadlock in stoppage time and Palace were incensed over two huge decisions that went against them.

First, Ibrahimovic appeared to play Juan Mata’s free-kick with his arm and his ‘pass’ found Paul Pogba who swept home from an offside position. The Palace players protested but the goal stood.

The hosts then drew level with James McArthur slotting home in the 66th minute after being sent clear from a clever flick from Damian Delaney.

However, united won it at the death as Pogba played in Ibrahimovic with a fine through-ball and the Swede found the back of the net from a tight angle in the 88th minute.

The win sees Jose Mourinho’s men remain sixth in the table and six points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City after they beat Watford at the Etihad.
