Chelsea have tightened their grip at the top of the Premier League table after a thrilling 4-2 victory over Stoke City at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

The Blues opened the scoring midway through the first half when Gary Cahill rose to head home a Cesc Fabregas corner before Bruno Martins Indi bundled home shortly after half-time to level things up at 1-1.

Willian then drilled home following an excellent team move that involved Victor Moses and Eden Hazard before Stoke once again grabbed an equaliser when Peter Crouch swept home for 2-2 in the 64th minute.

However, Chelsea went straight back up the other end to restore their lead when Fabregas slipped in Willian who fired high in to the net for 3-2 before Diego Costa wrapped up the three points from a tight angle to secure a 4-2 win.

The victory sees Chelsea level Arsenal’s 13-game winning streak and moves them nine points clear of Liverpool ahead of their pivotal clash with Manchester City at Anfield this evening.
