Chelsea eased in to the fourth round of the FA Cup after beating Peterborough United 4-1 at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

The Blues opened the scoring in the 18th minute when Pedro kept his cool to blast in to the top corner after Nathan Chalobah had seen his long-range effort parried away.

Chelsea doubled their lead shortly before half time when Michy Matshuayi fired home from 18 yards following a swift break to put the hosts in control at the half-time.

Antonio Conte’s men continued to dominate after the break and make it 3-0 in the 52nd minute when Willian found the bottom corner with a curled effort from just inside the area.

Skipper John Terry was then sent off for a last man foul in the 67th minute and Peterborough gave themselves a glimmer of hope when Nichols bundled home for 3-1.

However, Chelsea wrapped things up when Pedro grabbed his second of the game with a sweet strike from 20 yards to make it 4-1 and book the west Londoners place in the next round.
