Chelsea vs Hull Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Prediction

Chelsea take on Hull City at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon. Here is a preview with team news, line-ups, betting tips and predicted score.

Chelsea will be looking to cement their position at the top of the table with a win when they take on Hull City at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

It’s been the perfect weekend so far for the Blues as they’ve watched Liverpool lose at home to Swansea today while Man Utd, Man City and Spurs have also dropped points so the west Londoners have an excellent chance to tighten their grip on the title.

Antonio Conte’s men have responded well to their defeat at Spurs having thrashed Peterborough United in the FA Cup before putting three past Leicester City at the King Power last weekend.

The Italian coach has also dealt with his first ‘crisis’ at Stamford Bridge extremely well having settled his differences with Diego Costa after the pair were involved in a bust-up earlier this month amid rumours the striker was keen on moving to China.

With the Spanish hitman back in contention tomorrow, Chelsea will be confident of seeing-off a Hull side that currently sit second bottom in the table but new boss Marco Silva will be looking to build on last weekend’s win over Bournemouth.

Team news

All eyes will be on Conte to see if he recalls Costa to the starting eleven but the striker is expected to be come back in up front having recovered from an apparent back injury that kept him out of the Leicester game.

John Terry is back in contention after serving his suspension but the skipper is set to be named among the substitutes as Conte will stick with his settled back three.

Chelsea have no fresh injury concerns to worry about so they have virtually a fully-fit squad to choose from.

Hull will hand a late fitness test to Robert Snodgrass as he’s struggling with a muscle strain but new signings Oumar Niasse and Evandro are pushing to make their debuts.

Likely Line-Ups

Predicted Score

Chelsea 2-0 Hull: The Tigers looked a much better unit against Bournemouth but I don’t see them being a match for this Chelsea side at Stamford Bridge. With Costa back and a fully-fit squad to choose from, the Blues are in excellent shape and I think they’ll ease to a 2-0 win to extend their lead at the top of the table.
