Some of the Chelsea players have been celebrating on social media after easing in to the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 4-0 win over Brentford at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.
The Blues opened the scoring in fine style as Willian curled home a superb free kick before Pedro doubled the Premier League leaders advantage in the 21st minute.
Branislav Ivanovic then came off the bench to drill home Chelsea’s third before the Serbian defender won a late penalty after being fouled in the box. Michy Batshuayi stepped up to convert for 4-0.
The resounding victory sees Chelsea book their place in the fifth round draw of the FA Cup and keeps alive their hopes of securing a league and cup double this season.
Many of the players have been celebrating on social media with skipper John Terry – who made his return to the starting eleven today – hailing the ‘great win’ on his official Instagram account.
Kurt Zouma, N’Golo Kante, Marcos Alonso, Nathan Ake, Pedro, Cesar Azpilicueta and Batshuayi also posted messages and photos to Twitter as the player expressed their delight at easing in to the next round of the cup.
