West Ham vs Chelsea Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Prediction

Chelsea take on West Ham at the London Stadium this evening. Here is a preview with team news, line-ups, betting tips and predicted score.

Chelsea will be looking to cement their position at the top of the Premier League table when they take on West Ham at the London Stadium this evening.

The Blues saw their lead at the top cut to seven points following Tottenham’s win over Everton on Sunday but they can restore their ten point advantage with all three points this evening.

Antonio Conte’s side continued their excellent form with a 3-1 win over Swansea last weekend which took them to 63 points, making the West Londoners only one of four sides to ever reach that total at this stage of a Premier League season.

Chelsea should be confident of getting another vital win tonight as they’ve won 17 of their 19 league games against teams outside the top-six so far this campaign.

However, they have lost their last two games away to West Ham and the Hammers have turned something of a corner lately having lost just one of their last six league games, so it’s not going to be a walk in the park.

Team news

Chelsea expect Eden Hazard to be passed fit to start despite the Belgian international picking up a knock in training last week.

Otherwise, Conte has no other injury worries to contend with so the Italian is expected to name a familiar line-up – although Nemanja Matic could be set for a recall at the expense of Cesc Fabregas.

West Ham welcome back Andy Carroll as the striker has recovered from a groin injury that’s kept him out of the last two games.

However, influential winger Michail Antonio is suspended following his sending off last weekend while Diafra Sakho and Angelo Ogbonna remain out through injury.

Likely Line-Ups

Predicted Score

West Ham 1-2 Chelsea: The Blues have been in formidable form for several months so it’s difficult to see past Conte’s men tonight. West Ham appear to have got used to their new stadium following a difficult settling in period but I fancy Chelsea to secure a 2-1 win which will take them another step closer to reclaiming the title.
