Managers are now making plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Arsenal and Tottenham are linked with Patrik Schick…

Arsenal and Tottenham have held talks with the agent of Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick about a potential £21m move to north London this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

Schick came through the Sparta Prague youth system and earned a move to Sampdoria last summer after impressing during a season-long loan spell at Bohemians.

The Czech Republic international has continued to impress Premier League scouts during his debut season in Serie A after scoring 9 goals despite starting just six games in all competitions.

The 21-year-old could now be heading to England as the Daily Mail claim that Arsenal and Tottenham are showing a keen interest in signing the talented hitman this summer.

It looks like the north London duo have now stepped up their interest as the newspaper says that Schick’s agent, Pavel Paska, was in the capital today to hold formal talks with officials from both Arsenal and Spurs.

Despite continued doubts over his own future, Arsene Wenger is pressing ahead with transfer plans for the summer and the Gunners boss could be eyeing Schick with Alexis Sanchez and Lucas Perez both tipped to leave the Emirates this summer.

Mauricio Pochettino is also expected to sign another forward to held ease the goal-scoring burden on Harry Kane with Vincent Janssen enduring a difficult season and it looks like the Spurs boss is also eyeing a swoop for Schick.

However, the north Londoners could face plenty of competition as the Daily Mail claim that Inter Milan, West Brom, Everton and Crystal Palace have also been watching the striker this season ahead of the summer.

Sampdoria are also likely to want to keep hold of the Czech hitman and are under no pressure to cash-in as he’s contracted to the club until 2020, so the Italian outfit may hold out for the £21m buyout clause that the report says is inserted in to his contract.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal or Tottenham will be prepared to pay that kind of money for a youngster who’s only really had one decent season in a top European league, but I doubt this is the last time we see Schick linked with a move to England ahead of the summer.
