[Video Goals] Swansea 1-3 Tottenham: Spurs Leave It Late To Sink Swans

By on April 5, 2017

Tottenham scored three times in the final nine minutes to secure a vital 3-1 victory over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium tonight.

The Swansea opened the scoring early in the first half when Wayne Routledge swept home at the near post following good work from Jordan Ayew in the 11th minute.

However, Spurs equalised in the 88th minute when Dele Alli was on hand to tap home at the far post after Christian Eriksen’s effort deflected in to his path.

Heung-min Son then got the vital second just minutes later as he burst in to the box to chip over Lukaz Fabianski for 2-1 in the 92nd minute.

The three points were secured just 90 seconds later as Alli fed Eriksen and he dropped his shoulder before curling in to the bottom right corner for 1-3.

The victory ensures Tottenham remain seven points adrift of Chelsea after they beat Manchester City 2-1 at Stamford Bridge this evening.
