Managers are now making plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Geoffrey Kondogbia is in high demand….

Liverpool are ready to battle-it-out with Chelsea and Tottenham over the signing of Inter Milan midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia this summer, according to a report in the Mirror.

Kondogbia made his name at Sevilla before earning a big-money move to Monaco where he forged a reputation as one of the most promising midfielders in Europe which lead to a £35m move to Inter in the summer of 2015.

However, the 24-year-old’s time in Serie A hasn’t gone according to plan as he endured a disappointing debut campaign and fell out-of-favour under former boss Frank De Boer.

The powerful midfielder has slowly forced his way back in to the starting eleven since new boss Stefano Pioli took over after rediscovering some of his best form in recent weeks but his future at the San Siro remains uncertain.

It looks like Kondogbia could be offered a new start here in the Premier League as the Mirror are citing a report from Calciomercato that claims Liverpool are now ready to battle Chelsea and Tottenham over his signature this summer.

The Italian outlet says that Spurs scouted Kondogbia during Inter’s 2-1 defeat to Sampdoria on Monday but Liverpool and Chelsea are also showing a keen interest in luring him to England.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is expected to further strengthen his midfield options this summer and Kondogbia would offer strong competition for the likes of Jordan Henderson and Emre Can in the middle of the park.

However, champions-elect Chelsea would be a tough team to turn down if Antonio Conte formalises his interest in the Frenchman while Spurs are also likely to have Champions League football to offer the midfielder so it will be interesting to see who Kondogbia would opt for if the three teams all tabled bids.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop during the closing stages of the season but I think Kondogbia would be an excellent signing if the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea or Spurs were able to get a deal agreed.
