[Video Goals] Crystal Palace 3-0 Arsenal: Shambolic Gunners Pile Pressure On Wenger

By on April 10, 2017

Arsenal’s hopes of playing Champions League football next season are in tatters after slumping to a shambolic 3-0 defeat at Crystal Palace this evening.

It was yet another sloppy start from Arsenal and Palace deservedly took the lead in the 17th minute when poor defending allowed Wilfried Zaha space to find Andros Townsend who tapped home from close range.

We continued to struggle to create clear-cut chances despite enjoying lots of possession and Palace eventually made us pay when Yohan Cabaye curled home a superb effort in the 63rd minute for 2-0.

The latest humiliation was complete when Martinez was adjudged to have fouled Townsend in the area. Replays showed it was a dive but the referee gave it and Milivojevic converted from the spot for 3-0.

The result leaves us sixth in the table and seven points adrift of Manchester City with just one game in hand.
