Arsenal Trump Chelsea & Liverpool After Agreeing Terms To Sign Bundesliga Star

Arsenal have seen off Chelsea and Liverpool to sign left-back Sead Kolasinac after agreeing personal terms ahead of a free transfer move this summer

Managers are now making plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Arsenal have agreed to sign Sead Kolasinac….

Arsenal have won the race to sign left-back Sead Kolasinac after agreeing personal terms ahead of a free transfer move this summer, according to Bosnian outlet BIHscout.

Kolasinac’s current contract with Schalke expires in June and he’s been free to hold talks with foreign clubs from January after failing to agree terms over an extension.

The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool were among the clubs to have registered their interest in signing the defender this summer.

Blues boss Antonio Conte is in the market for competition for Marcos Alonso as the Italian coach prepares to strengthen his squad ahead of their return to the Champions League next season and Kolasinac was seemingly on his radar.

Jurgen Klopp is also on the look out for a new left-back to replace Alberto Moreno after the Spaniard fell out-of-favour and the Liverpool boss needs a specialist full-back with James Milner deputising for much of the season.

However, it looks as though the duo have missed out as reports in Kolasinac’s home country from BIHscout claim that he’s now agreed to join Arsenal this summer.

The Bosnian outlet says the defender signed a contract with the Gunners this morning and has already picked his new shirt number ahead of a free transfer move to the Emirates at the end of the season.

Arsene Wenger’s future in north London is in serious doubt but the Frenchman is still making plans for next year and a new left-back is needed with Kieran Gibbs tipped to leave after failing to hold down a regular place.

We’ll have to wait and see how accurate these reports are but if true it looks like Arsenal have pulled off something of a coup as Kolasinac has developed in to one of the best full-backs in the Bundesliga in recent years.

The 23-year-old has become a vital part of the Schalke first team while his versatility will also be a valuable asset as he’s capable of playing at centre-back or even in midfield.
