Managers are now making plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Man Utd are ready to snap-up Anderson Talisca…

Manchester United are confident of securing a deal to sign £21m-rated Benfica midfielder Anderson Talisca in a move that could see Juan Mata leave the club this summer, according to a report in the Mirror.

Talisca – full name Anderson Souza Conceicao – joined Benfica in a £3.5m move from Brazilian outfit Bahia in 2014 and attracted interest from the Premier League last summer following two solid years in Portugal.

A move to England failed to materialise and Talisca ended up joining Besiktas on loan where he’s continued to impress with 11 goals and 6 assists in his 27 appearances so far.

The Express reported earlier this month that Liverpool and Man Utd have been keeping a close eye on the Brazilian midfielders progress this season ahead of potential summer moves.

Jurgen Klopp is expected to further strengthen his squad at the end of the season ahead of Liverpool’s likely return to the Champions League and Talisca would offer good competition and support to the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane.

However, it appears the Merseysiders have some stiff competition as the Mirror are citing reports coming out of Turkey that claim United are confident of being able to secure the 23-year-old’s services this summer.

Jose Mourinho is also gearing-up for a busy few months in the transfer market and the newspaper suggests that United are ready to meet Talisca’s £21m release clause to take him to Old Trafford.

If that deal does end up going through, then the report indicates that Talisca’s arrival may see Mata leaving the club as he has just one year remaining on his current deal.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop but I’m sure Liverpool are ready to fight United all the way for Talisca so it’s going to be interesting to see where he ends up if the midfielder decides to come to England this summer.
