Man Utd In Advanced Talks Over £43m Deal To Sign Portuguese Attacker

Managers are now making plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Man Utd are closing in on Bernado Silva….

Manchester United are in advanced talks over a £43m deal to sign Monaco attacker Bernado Silva as Jose Mourinho begins to kick start his summer transfer plans, according to a report in the Express.

Mourinho decided against dipping in to the January market and will instead oversee another busy summer of activity as the ‘Special One’ tries to turn United in to genuine title challengers again.

The Portuguese coach is expected to further strengthen his attacking options as a lack of goals has undermined United’s campaign this season and it looks as though Silva is on his radar.

That’s because the Express are citing a report coming from France Football that claims United are in advanced negotiations with Monaco over a £43m deal for the Portuguese international.

Silva has developed in to one of the most promising young wingers in Europe since joining Monaco on a permanent deal having initially moved to France on loan from Benfica in 2014.

The 22-year-old has played a key role for Monaco this season with his 9 goals and 11 assists helping them to the top of the Ligue 1 table and in to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

It looks as though the attacker could be heading to Old Trafford this summer and he’d be a very useful addition to Mourinho’s squad as although he’s predominantly a right winger, Silva is capable of playing anywhere across the attacking midfield positions.

However, the Express say that United could yet face competition from Chelsea and Real Madrid so I’m sure Mourinho is desperate for the club to wrap-up a deal before they get gazumped by their rivals.
