[VIDEO GOALS] Birmingham 0-3 Arsenal: Nasri & Fabregas Run The Show For Gunners

By on January 1, 2011

Arsenal produced a magnificent display to beat Birmingham 0-3 at St. Andrews and keep pace with league leaders Man Utd. Arsenal took the lead through a deflected Robin Van Persie free-kick and the Dutchman should have scored a couple more during the first half. Van Persie could also have given away a penalty at the other end when he handled but the referee waved play on. Birmingham were lucky not to be reduced to 10-men after defender Rodger Johnson escaped with just a yellow after a poor tackle on Fabregas. Samir Nasri scored Arsenal’s second, firing in from the edge of the area. The Frenchman then combined beautifully with Fabregas who’s shot was well saved by Foster but Johnson bundled the ball into his own net for 0-3. Watch all the action below….

0-1 Van Persie

It was a terrible tackle, Cesc was lucky not to get a serious injury. Bowyer was a disgrace as well, should have been sent off twice during the game but somehow didn’t even get a booking. The ref was very poor today.
