Crystal Palace v Tottenham Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Prediction

Tottenham take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this evening. Here is a preview with team news, line-ups, betting tips and predicted score

Tottenham will look to bounce back from their FA Cup defeat and keep pace with Chelsea at the top of the table when they take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this evening.

Spurs saw their FA Cup dreams end with a 4-2 defeat to Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday night so Mauricio Pochettino’s task is to ensure that loss doesn’t have a psychological affect in the title race.

Chelsea extended their lead at the top of the table to seven points with a win over Southampton last night so the pressure is on Tottenham to respond against Palace this evening.

However, that’s not going to be an easy task as the Eagles are in excellent form having won six of their last eight league games – a run that includes wins over Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea.

Team News

Pochettino is expected to make a couple of changes with Ben Davies set for a recall on the left after Heung-min Son started against Chelsea at the weekend.

Kyle Walker was surprisingly left out of the FA Cup semi-final so he’s almost certain to come back in with Kieran Trippier dropping back to the bench.

Danny Rose is back in full training after recovering from a serious knee injury but this game will come too soon for the full-back while Harry Winks and Erik Lamela won’t play again this season.

Palace will have Mamadou Sakho available again after he was ineligible to face Liverpool last time out while Patrick van Aanholt is also pushing for his first start since early March.

James Tomkins is unlikely to play again this season due to a leg injury while Jeffrey Schlupp and Frazier Campbell are pushing for recalls.

Likely Line-Ups

Predicted Score

Crystal Palace 1-2 Tottenham: The pressure is firmly on Spurs to get a result here if they want to keep their title dreams alive. Palace are almost safe after moving to 38 points at the weekend so Pochettino will be hoping they take their eye off the game tonight. It’s going to be a close game but I think Tottenham will do enough to edge it 2-1.

Betting Tips

Tottenham are the 6/10 favourites with the bookies but if you want more value then here are some other bets I like the look of:

What do you think the score will be? What team would you select for the game?
