Liverpool To Make Move For £15m-Rated Star As Klopp Kick-Starts Summer Business

Liverpool are ready to make a formal move for Fulham defender Ryan Sessegnon as Jurgen Klopp looks to solve his problems at left-back this summer

Managers are now making plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Liverpool are hoping to complete a deal to sign Ryan Sessegnon….

Liverpool are ready to make a formal move to sign Fulham defender Ryan Sessegnon as Jurgen Klopp looks to solve his problems at left-back this summer, according to the Mirror.

The Reds boss is gearing-up for a busy few months in the transfer market and he knows a new left-back is required with Alberto Moreno almost certain to leave after falling out-of-favour this season.

James Milner has deputised admirably in an unfamiliar position for much of the campaign but a long-term solution is needed and it looks as though Klopp has already identified the man he wants.

The Mirror claims that Liverpool have been keeping a close eye on Hull City’s Andrew Robertson but Sessegnon is the preferred option and Klopp is set to test Fulham’s resolve this summer.

The newspaper says that the German coach sees Sessegnon as the ideal man to take over the mantle at left-back and is now ready to launch a formal move to secure the youngsters services.

Sessegnon has been at Craven Cottage since joining Fulham aged just 8-years-old and progressed through the youth ranks to become one of the hottest teenagers in British football.

The 16-year-old has scored an incredible 7 goals in his 28 appearances from full-back this season to help Fulham in their promotion push with the Londoners currently sitting in the play-off spots with just two games remaining.

The report indicates that the teenager has a pre-agreed deal with Fulham to sign a professional contract when he turns 17 on May 18th so Liverpool will have to pay a hefty transfer fee to secure his signature.

The Daily Mail reported earlier this month that it will take around £15m to persuade Fulham to cash-in but that could prove to be an excellent deal given Sessegnon’s age and potential.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming weeks but it looks as though Liverpool are going to do all they can to try and lure Sessegnon to Anfield this summer and they’d be getting a superbly talented footballer if they get a deal agreed.
