Chelsea took a huge step towards reclaiming the Premier League title after easing to a 3-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park this afternoon.

It was a well contested game for 65 minutes and it took something special to break the deadlock as Pedro fired home a stunning left-footed effort from outside the area.

The visitors doubled their advantage in the 79th minute when Gary Cahill tapped home from close range after Eden Hazed’s free-kick from a tight angle was only palmed away in to his path.

Any hopes of a late comeback from Everton were extinguished when Cesc Fabregas set-up fellow substitute Willian to tap home the third goal in the 86th minute to secure a 3-0 win.

The victory sees Chelsea extend their advantage at the top to seven points ahead of Tottenham’s huge North London Derby against Arsenal.
