Emre Can scored a sensational overhead kick to secure Liverpool a crucial 1-0 win over Watford at Craven Cottage this evening.

It was a tight opening forty-five minutes with clear-cut chances at a premium for both sides and it took something extremely special to eventually break the deadlock.

With half time almost upon us, Lucas Leiva found Can with a lovely ball and with his back to goal, the German international acrobatically found the back of the net with a sensational overhead kick.

Watford pushed to find the equaliser during the second half and almost grabbed a dramatic last gasp goal as Prodl hit the crossbar deep in to stoppage time.

However, Liverpool held out to secure a vital 1-0 win which sees them move three points clear of Manchester City in third place in the table.
