Insider Confirms £110m Arsenal Target Could Join Man Utd

Kylian Mbappe’s uncle has confirmed the £110m-rated Arsenal target could join Manchester United when he decides to leave Monaco.

Managers are now making plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, more on the future of Kylian Mbappe….

Kylian Mbappe’s uncle has named Manchester United as one of the clubs the £110m-rated Monaco hitman could join when he decides to leave France, according to the Daily Mail.

Mbappe has become one of the most sought after players in the world since breaking in to the Monaco first team this season having initially progressed through their youth set-up.

The 18-year-old has scored an impressive 24 goals and provided a further 11 assists in his 38 appearances to help Monaco sit top of the Ligue 1 table and reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.

His sensational potential has alerted several top clubs throughout Europe while the Mirror reported last month that Arsenal and Manchester United are among the club keen on luring him to England.

Arsene Wenger hasn’t hidden his interest in Mbappe after revealing recently that he remains keen on landing the striker after failing with his attempts to lure him to the Emirates last summer.

However, it looks like the Gunners have their work cut out trying to sign the teenager as Mbappe’s uncle has named United as one of six European heavy-weights the striker could join when he leaves Monaco.

Pierre Mbappe is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail:

‘Are Juventus an option for the future? Yes, Juve are, as well as the two teams in Manchester, PSG, Real Madrid, Barcelona… in the future, they could all be options.’

It’s certainly going to be a fascinating battle for Mbappe’s signature but United are one of the few clubs who could realistically afford the striker as the Daily Mail suggest Monaco are demanding around £110m for their special talent.

United proved last summer that they aren’t afraid to pay record sums after splashing out almost £90m on Paul Pogba so it would be no surprise if they decided to break the world record again to land Mbappe.

Jose Mourinho desperately needs a new forward after Zlatan Ibrahimovic was ruled out for up to nine months with a knee ligament injury while Wayne Rooney is also expected to leave the club after falling out-of-favour.

We’ll have to wait and see whether United are able to land Mbappe as they will face some fierce competition but it would be a major coup if the French youngster ends up at Old Trafford this summer.
