[Teams] Liverpool vs Southampton: Confirmed Line-Ups

By on May 7, 2017

Liverpool will be looking to cement their position in the top four when they take on Southampton at Anfield this afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp has resisted the temptation to recall Adam Lallana to the starting eleven with the midfielder once again among the substitutes.

Lucas Leiva keeps his place in midfield alongside Emre Can and Gini Wijnaldum while Philippe Coutinho is passed fit to start despite being forced off with a dead leg against Watford last Monday.

Divock Orivi once again starts up front with Daniel Sturridge on the bench.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Matip, Milner, Can, Lucas, Wijnaldum, Coutinho, Firmino, Origi.

Subs: Karius, Moreno, Grujic, Sturridge, Alexander-Arnold, Lallana, Klavan.

Forster, Cedric, Yoshida, Stephens, Bertrand, Davis, Ward-Prowse, Romeu, Tadic, Boufal, Gabbiadini.

Subs: Long, Rodriguez, Caceres, Redmond, Hojbjerg, Pied, Hassen

I think the referee and his team need to go back to referee training because alot of decisions in the liverpool v southampton game this weekend was a joke , southampton players falling over on their own and getting free kicks but a liverpool player getting kicked and they get nothing , referee standards in the premier league, quote ” the worlds best league ” is a joke.
