West Brom vs Chelsea: Preview, Team News, Line-Ups, Betting Tips & Prediction
Chelsea take on West Brom this evening looking to secure the title. Here is a preview with team news, line-ups, betting tips and predicted score
Chelsea will look to wrap-up the Premier League title when they take on West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns this evening.
The Blues sit on the brink of reclaiming the title after taking full advantage of Tottenham’s slip-up at West Ham by beating Middlesbrough 3-0 at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.
It leaves Chelsea seven points clear at the top of the table with just three games left to play so they know victory at the Hawthorns this evening will secure their fifth Premier League title.
However, it won’t be a formality as West Brom as a decent side who sit eighth in the table following an excellent campaign so Tony Pulis will be out to spoil the party on home soil.
Chelsea welcome N’Golo Kante back in to the squad after he recovered from a hamstring injury that kept him out of the Middlesbrough game.
Cesc Fabregas could keep his place following a superb showing last time out so Nemanja Matic might be the man to make way for the French international.
West Brom have received a boost with the news that Jonny Evans is fit to start after recovering from a minor ankle injury but Matt Phillips has been ruled out with a hamstring problem.
Striker Hal Robson-Kanu could return to the squad after overcoming his own hamstring complaint but a place on the bench is probably the best he can hope for.
West Brom 1-2 Chelsea: The Blues returned to their formidable best against ‘Boro and there were no signs of nerves as they move closer to the finish line. I expect West Brom to give them a good game and cause problems from set-pieces but I think Chelsea are going to edge it to clinch the title with two games to spare.
