[Video Goals] Tottenham 2-1 Man Utd: Kane Scores As Spurs Secure Second Spot

Tottenham Hotspur gave White Hart Lane a fond farewell as they beat Manchester United 2-1 this afternoon to secure second position in the Premier League table.

Spurs started strongly and opened the scoring in the sixth minute as Victor Wanyama rose above Wayne Rooney to head for 1-0 home following a corner.

The home side then doubled their advantage shortly after half-time as Harry Kane flicked past David De Gea following an excellent free-kick delivery from Christian Eriksen in the 48th minute.

United pulled one back in the 71st minute as Rooney was on hand to fire home from close range following some good work from Anthony Martial down the left.

However, Tottenham held on to secure a 2-1 win to ensure they maintained their unbeaten home record this season and give White Hart Lane a winning send off.
