Arsenal Ready To Trump Man Utd’s £113m Striker Bid With World Record £120m Offer

Arsenal are ready to blow Manchester United and Real Madrid away with a staggering world record £120m bid for Monaco sensational Kylian Mbappe

Managers are now pressing ahead with their plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Arsenal are ready to make an improved bid for Kylian Mbappe….

Arsenal are ready to blow Manchester United and Real Madrid away with a staggering world record £120m bid for Monaco sensational Kylian Mbappe, according to a report in the Mirror.

Mbappe has just come off the back of a breakthrough campaign that saw him score 26 goals and supply a further 14 assists to help guide Monaco to their first Ligue 1 title since 2000.

The 18-year-old is now considered as one of the hottest properties in Europe with the Mirror naming Arsenal, Real Madrid and Manchester United as being among the clubs showing a keen interest.

Madrid are the bookmakers favourites to sign the French international while Spanish outlet AS [via the Metro] reported last night that Man Utd have lodged a £113m offer for Mbappe’s signature.

Jose Mourinho is in the market for a top class striker after losing Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mbappe is the latest name to be linked with a move to Old Trafford after they missed out on Antoine Griezmann.

However, it looks like Arsenal are ready trump United’s offer as the Mirror are citing reports coming from L’Equipe that claim the Gunners are set to submit a whopping £120m bid for Mbappe.

If accepted, it would smash the world record set by United when they signed Paul Pogba for £89m last summer and it would be a real statement of intent from Arsenal.

The pressure is on Arsene Wenger to put together a genuine title challenge next season after missing out on the top four and it would be a major coup if the Gunners boss could land Mbappe ahead of the likes of United and Madrid.

The reports come after Wenger and Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis were photographed in the south of France over the weekend which led to speculation they could be there to hold talks over Mbappe.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming days but I’m sure United won’t give up without a fight and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them counter Arsenal with an improved offer of their own.

It’s going to be fascinating to see where Mbappe ends up but I’d love to see him plying his trade here in the Premier League next season so hopefully Arsenal or United are able to win the race for his signature.
