RIO FERDINAND CHARGED BY FA
By Football Talk.
Manchester United’s Rio Ferdinand has been charged with violent conduct by the FA after his clash with Hull’s Craig Fagan during Saturday’s 4-0 win at Old Trafford.
Ferdinand appeared to throw an elbow towards Fagan’s face as the players tussled in the penalty box while waiting for a free kick. If Ferdinand pleads guilty to the charge and decides to start his punishment immediately he would miss United’s next three matches against Manchester City, Arsenal and Portsmouth. However, if he has an unsuccessful appeal he would miss Arsenal, Portsmouth and Aston Villa.
