Arsenal Working On Deals To Sign Attacking Trio But 9 Players Could Leave

Arsenal are working on deals to sign Kylian Mbappé, Alexandre Lacazette and Thomas Lemar but as many as nine squad players could leave the club this summer

Managers are now pressing ahead with their plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, the latest on Arsenal’s transfer plans this summer….

Arsenal are working on deals to sign Kylian Mbappé, Alexandre Lacazette and Thomas Lemar but as many as nine squad players could leave the club this summer, according to the Telegraph.

Arsene Wenger is gearing-up for the busiest summer of his 21-year reign in north London with a number of incomings and outgoings expected over the coming weeks.

We’ve already signed left-back Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer from Schalke and it appears Wenger is now concentrating his efforts on revamping his attack.

The Telegraph claim that Arsenal are currently working on deals to sign Lyon hitman Lacazette and Monaco sensations Mbappe and Lemar as the boss looks to build a new frontline ahead of the new season.

Unfortunately the newspaper suggests that there is now little hope of Alexis Sanchez signing a new deal while Mesut Ozil is also no closer to signing an extension so Wenger is already lining-up replacements.

If our star duo don’t commit to the club we’ll have little choice but to cash-in and it looks as though Mbappe and Lemar are being lined up to replace Sanchez and Ozil while Lacazette is most likely viewed as a replacement for Olivier Giroud.

The 30-year-old Frenchman is also being tipped to leave after struggling to hold down a first team place last season while Lucas Perez is another that’s almost certain to go so we need to bring in fresh blood in attack.

Lacazette has just come off the back of a 37-goal season so he’d provide plenty of goal threat up front while Mbappe and Lemar were outstanding in helping Monaco clinch the Ligue 1 title.

There is plenty of competition for all three players but Wenger will be hoping the lure of guaranteed first team football might be enough to tempt them to come to the Emirates this summer.

They aren’t going to come cheap as Mbappe alone is expected to cost upwards of £100m but Wenger has a healthy transfer kitty at his disposal plus he’ll make huge sums from the sales of Sanchez, Ozil and Giroud if they all leave.

There will also be extra funds generated from the sale of squad players and the Telegraph say Kieran Gibbs is almost certain to leave following Kolasinac’s arrival while Carl Jenkinson and Mathieu Debuchy are also dead certs to be sold over the coming weeks.

Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny looks likely to secure a permanent move back to Italy while Jack Wilshere’s future is in serious doubt as he’s in the final year of his contract and is once again nursing a fractured leg.

It means there could be at least NINE players leaving this summer so the squad is going to look a lot different come the start of the new Premier League season.
