Chelsea have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Antonio Candreva as Inter Milan have found the man they want to replace the £23m-rated winger, according to a report in The Sun.
Antonio Conte has already been extremely active in the transfer market after signing goalkeeper Willy Caballero, centre-back Antonio Rudiger, midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko and striker Alvaro Morata so far.
However, the Blues boss knows he needs to further strengthen his squad ahead of Chelsea’s return to the Champions League and a wide-man to compete with Victor Moses in the right wing-back role is on the agenda.
Candreva has emerged as a prime target in recent weeks but Inter have been reluctant to do business over the Italian international until they secured a replacement first.
Chelsea have now been handed a boost as The Sun are citing a report from the Mirror that claims Inter have lined-up Lazio star Keita Balde as the man they want to bring-in which would allow them to strike a deal with the Blues for Candreva.
The newspaper says the Premier League champions are preparing a £23m bid and will offer the 30-year-old a bumper contract worth £85,000-a-week if he agrees to move to Stamford Bridge.
Conte knows Candreva well having managed him during his time with the Italian national team and he enjoyed an excellent season for Inter last year after scoring 8 goals and providing 11 assists.
The former Lazio star is capable of playing at wing-back or on either wing so his versatility will be a very useful asset for Conte if he manages to lure him to west London this summer.

However, before any potential deal for Candreva can be agreed, Inter must first secure Keita and that’s not going to be straight-forward as there are several teams showing an interest in the Lazio attacker.
