Liverpool have confirmed on Liverpoolfc.com their 22-man squad which is travelling to Germany this afternoon ahead of their Champions League clash with Hoffenheim.

The Reds were drawn to face the Bundesliga outfit in their Champions League play-off clash so the two clubs will now do-battle over two legs for a place in the group stages of the competition.

Jurgen Klopp has now named his 22-man squad which left Merseyside this afternoon ahead of tomorrow night’s first leg and understandably the most notable name missing from the list is that of Philippe Coutinho.

The playmaker was ruled out of Liverpool’s opening Premier League draw at Watford on Saturday with an apparent back injury amid speculation linking him with a move to Barcelona.

Coutinho handed in a transfer request on Friday after the Catalans second offer was rejected and Liverpool insists he won’t be granted a move to the Nou Camp, but the Brazilian is still not going to be involved tomorrow night.

Daniel Sturridge has also been left out of the travelling party as the striker is still nursing a thigh injury which he suffered last week and kept him out of the Watford game.

Here is the confirmed squad for the Hoffenheim game:

Alexander-Arnold, Moreno, Lovren, Milner, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Can, Mane, Salah, Firmino, Kent, Solanke, Origi, Gomez, Klavan, Flanagan, Robertson, Matip, Grujic, Mignolet, Karius, Ward.
