Fernando Llorente has sent a message to Tottenham fans after completing his move from Swansea City late last night.

Mauricio Pochettino left much of his summer transfer business until the final stages of the window and he went in to deadline day hoping to strengthen his attacking options.

News broke early on Thursday that Spurs were in for Llorente and the striker was soon undergoing his medical and discussing personal terms after a deal was agreed between the two clubs.

Those formalities were swiftly concluded and the 32-year-old’s move to White Hart Lane was wrapped-up late on Thursday night after Swansea completed the signing of Wilfried Bony from Manchester City.

Tottenham confirmed on TottenhamHotspur.com that Llorente had joined the club on a two year deal and while the precise fee wasn’t released, the Evening Standard claim Spurs have paid Swansea around £14m.

Llorente moved to England last summer when he joined Swansea from Sevilla and he enjoyed a superb campaign that saw him score 15 goals in 33 games to secure the Welsh outfits top flight status.

The experienced Spaniard will now offer quality back-up to Harry Kane up front and the striker was quick to send a message to Tottenham fans after completing his move to north London.
