Some of the Chelsea players have been reacting on social media after the Blues kicked-off their Champions League campaign with a 6-0 thrashing of Qarabag last night.

Chelsea returned to Europe’s elite competition after a one-year hiatus and Antonio Conte’s men couldn’t have wished for a better start as they ran riot at Stamford Bridge.

Goals from Pedro and Davide Zappacosta put the West Londoners 2-0 up at half-time but they tore Qarabag apart after the break with Cesar Azpilicueta making it 3-0 shortly after half-time.

Tiemoue Bakayoko got his first goal for Chelsea since joining the club in the summer before a late double from Michy Batshuayi secured a comfortable 6-0 victory that sees the Blues sit top of Group C.

Batshuayi has now taken to Twitter to thank the fans for their encouragement and express his delight at scoring his first ever goal in the Champions League.

Chelsea team-mates Willian, Pedro, Antonio Rudiger, Azpilicueata, Marcos Alonso and Zappacosta have also posted messages on Twitter to celebrate their superb start in Europe.
