Chelsea eased in to the fourth round of the League Cup thanks to a comfortable 5-1 victory over Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge this evening.

The Blues opened the scoring in the 13th minute as Brazilian youngster Kenedy volleyed home at the far post for 1-0 following a wonderful cross from Antonio Rudiger.

Chelsea doubled their advantage just minutes later as Michy Batchuayi lashed home the second before youngster Charly Musonda made it 3-0 shortly before half-time.

Antonio Conte’s side continued to turn the screw as they made it 4-0 minutes in to the second half with Bathsuayi getting his second of the game following some great work from Eden Hazard.

Bathsuayi sealed his hat-trick as he poked home from close range after Kenedy had hit the bar and although Forest pulled one back in injury time, Chelsea eased in to the fourth round thanks to a 5-1 win.
