27-Year-Old Star To Snub Chelsea And Join Man Utd In £45m Deal Next Summer
Tottenham Hotspur star Danny Rose has snubbed Chelsea in order to join Manchester United in a proposed £45m deal at the end of the season
The transfer window may be closed but clubs are still working hard ahead of January and next summer so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Danny Rose wants to join Man Utd…
Tottenham Hotspur star Danny Rose has snubbed Chelsea in order to join Manchester United in a proposed £45m deal at the end of the season, according to the Daily Star.
Rose rocked Spurs after criticising the clubs transfer policy in the summer while he also admitted he would consider a move in order to earn a more competitive salary and win trophies.
The interview led to strong reports linking the full-back with a move away from north London with Chelsea and United among those to be credited with an interest.
Rose ended up staying at Tottenham after being fined and issuing a public apology but the speculation tipping the England international with a move refuses to go away.
The Daily Star claim that Rose is expected to leave Spurs at the end of the season and suggest that Chelsea and Man Utd are both desperate to sign the left-back.
Antonio Conte tried to bring-in a new left sided defender to compete with Marcos Alonso in the summer but he was frustrated in his pursuit of a number of targets so I’m sure the Blues boss would jump at the chance to sign Rose.
However, it looks like Conte is in for disappointment again as the newspaper says the left-back has already decided to snub Chelsea’s advances in order to join United.
Left-back has been something of a problem area for Mourinho with a number of players occupying the position but it seems the United supremo has identified Rose as the man to be his long-term solution.
Tottenham will no doubt be reluctant to see another key man leave following Kyle Walker’s move to Man City but the Daily Star claims United are confident of securing a £45m for Rose next summer.
The 27-year-old has just returned to training following a lengthy absence with a knee ligament injury so as long as he gets back to his best, then I think Rose would be a superb signing for United if they do end up luring him to Manchester.
