Arsenal desperately need to get back to winning ways in the Premier League when we take on Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.

Ahead of the game, Arsene Wenger has given Arsenal.com the latest team and injury news and it’s safe to it’s a mixed update from the manager.

Let’s start with the good news and Wenger has confirmed that Aaron Ramsey, Laurent Koscielny and Alexis Sanchez have all been deemed fit to return to the squad on Sunday.

Ramsey sat out last weekend’s disappointing defeat at Watford after complaining of a tight hamstring upon his return from international duty with Wales.

Sanchez also arrived back at London Colney carrying a knock following his exploits with Chile last week and the attacker wasn’t risked for the trip to Vicarage Road.

Koscielny on the other hand was able to make his injury comeback against Watford but the defender limped off during the closing minutes of the game sparking fears he’d aggravated an Achilles injury.

Thankfully it was only cramp so Koscielny is fit to return to the squad this weekend along with Ramsey and Sanchez in what is a huge triple injury boost ahead of a must-win game.

However, there isn’t such positive news on Danny Welbeck as the attacker has been ruled out for at least two weeks after suffering a groin injury during the defeat at Watford.

Shkodran Mustafi will also not be back in action before the next international break as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury while Calum Chambers is also still on the sidelines with a hip problem.

In a further blow, Wenger says David Ospina has been ruled out for a few weeks after picking up a groin injury so we’ll be without four first team squad players this weekend.

Wenger told the clubs website:

“Alexis, Koscielny and Ramsey will be alright. Welbeck is out. He has a groin problem, I think it will be two to three weeks before he is back. He will not be back before the international break.

“Mustafi will not be back before the break, and Ospina as well. Ospina is not very bad, he has a grade one [groin problem] so it’s just a couple of weeks. Mustafi is a bit worse than Ospina.

“Calum Chambers as well will be back after the break, and everybody else is alright.”

Arsenal head in to the weekend action sitting sixth in the Premier League table following the defeat at Watford so it’s vital we get back on track with a win over Everton on Sunday.
