Chelsea have been handed an injury boost as Victor Moses has returned to outdoor training as he bids to make his comeback from a hamstring injury.

Moses has been on the sidelines since sustaining the hamstring problem during Chelsea’s surprise 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park last month.

The Nigerian international has been forced to miss the last six games in all competitions with an injury that manager Antonio Conte described as ‘bad’ last week.

The Blues boss offered an update on Moses’ situation ahead of Chelsea’s 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge last weekend. Conte is quoted as saying by the Evening Standard:

“Moses’ injury was a bad injury, a bad muscular problem.

“We have to wait and have patience. He needs more time before he recovers.”

However, it looks as though Moses is now on the way back to full fitness as the midfielder took to Twitter to express his delight at getting back on the training pitch along with some photos of himself working out.

Here is his Tweet:

The 26-year-old will now look to step-up his workload during the rest of the international break but it remains to be seen whether he’ll be in contention for Chelsea’s trip to West Brom next weekend.

Conte is usually cautious not to rush his players back too soon so I think we’ll see Moses eased back in to action once he returns to full training with the rest of the first team squad.

But it will be a welcome boost for Conte to have Moses available again soon as he’s become a key player in the Italian’s starting eleven with the converted midfielder excelling in the right wing-back role over the past 18 months.
