The transfer window may be closed but clubs are still working hard ahead of January and next summer so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Ryan Sessegnon is in demand….

Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United are among the clubs set to do-battle over the signing of Fulham’s £30m-rated defender Ryan Sessegnon this summer, according to a report by TeamTalk.

Sessegnon has been with Fulham since he was a child and progressed through the youth system to establish himself as a first team regular while he’s also represented England at U19 youth level.

The 17-year-old has emerged as one of the hottest properties outside of the Premier League after enjoying a breakthrough year at Cravan Cottage last season that saw him score 7 goals in 31 appearances from left-back.

He’s continued to impress this season and became the first 17-year-old since Dele Alli to score a hat-trick in one of England’s top tiers after netting three times during a 5-4 win over Sheffield United on Tuesday night.

Understandably, Sessegnon has attracted plenty of interest from the Premier League with TeamTalk claiming that Liverpool, Tottenham and United are all chasing the teenager while the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea are also understood to be keen.

Sessegnon signed his first professional contract with Fulham in June but that won’t deter potential suitors as TeamTalk cite a report form the Daily Mail that says England’s top clubs will go in for the left-back at the end of the season.

Fulham have been desperately trying to keep hold of their star man but must know the time will come to cash-in soon and the newspaper suggests the Championship side will demand a fee of around £30m.

That shouldn’t be too much of a problem for clubs with the financial firepower of Liverpool, Spurs or United – especially for an young England international who’s value will only increase.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming months but it’s inevitable that Sessegnon will join one of the big clubs and it looks like there could be a bidding war over his signature this summer.
