[Video Highlights] Burnley 0-1 Arsenal: Sanchez Scores Late Penalty To Save Gunners

By on November 26, 2017

Arsenal left it late once again to beat Burnley as Alexis Sanchez scored a last minute penalty to secure a vital 1-0 win at Turf Moor this afternoon.

Burnley started well and almost opened the scoring as Gudmundsson hit the post in the 15th minute while Nacho Monreal flashed a long-range strike just wide at the other end.

Aaron Ramsey wasted the best chance of the first half as he blazed over after being found by Alexandre Lacazette so the two sides went in to the break all square.

Arsenal improved during the second half but were still struggling to create clear cut chances and it looked as though Burnley were going to hang on to secure a hard fought point.

However, there was late drama as Tarkowski was punished for a push on Ramsey in the area during the final minute and Sanchez slotted home the resulting spot kick to snatch all three points for the Gunners.

The win sees us climb above Liverpool and Tottenham in to fourth position in the table while third-placed Chelsea are now just one point ahead.
