Tottenham’s poor form continued as they slumped to a 2-1 defeat to Leicester City at the King Power this evening.

Leicester started brightly and opened the scoring when Jamie Vardy scored a superb volley that lobbed over Hugo Lloris and in to the net in the 13th minute.

Things got worse for Tottenham on the stroke of half time as Riyad Mahrez cut in from the right and curled home a lovely effort from the edge of the area to make it 2-0 in first half stoppage time.

Spurs pulled one back in the 79th minute as Erik Lamela came off the bench to tee-up Harry Kane who smashed one in to the top corner for 2-1.

The north Londoners pushed for a late equaliser but Leicester held on so Spurs slipped to a 2-1 defeat which leaves them sitting outside the top four in the table.
