Ipswich 1-0 Arsenal: What You Need To Know

Ipswich 1-0 Arsenal

Arsenal Stumbled to a shock defeat against Ipswich town last night. We sucked so badly out there that I won’t bother swearing-in anger at any one of those clowns…

In the 7th min, a stupid challenge by Delaney on Nikko earned us a free kick. From the resulting free-kick the ball reached AA23. Unfortunately our little Russian was too hasty and fired his first time shot wide. The guy should have made more of it though as his marker, (probably) Wickham was nowhere close.

3 minutes later, we made our first real Arsenal move. Gibbs played the ball to Theo who subsequently gave it to Cesc. The Spaniard set up Denilson quite gracefully but the Brazilians shot was blocked. After that it was more or less typical Arsenal. Passing, passing and more passing! In fact if you come to think of it by the time we reached the 30th min mark we were dreadful in attack. Cesc was not playing well, and the entire team was lagging in spirit.

In the 38th min this showed as the Spaniard sent his shot straight into the wall and then out for a goal kick. Ipswich did end the half the better of us, hopefully we should do better in the 2nd….

The second half started with an unusally high tempo. In the 49th min AA23 shot his volley way over the bar. Some may say he should have tried the Robert Pires against Villa lob, but the guy is in such bad form even getting a shot on goal is an achievement for him.

In the 57th min Nikko played a lovely ball over the top to Cesc, sadly the Spaniard could only get a corner. By the hour mark, the game had started to open up..We held possession whereas Ipswich were attacking on the counter-attack. In the 72nd min Cesc played an excellent ball to Theo, but Fulop did well to save …1st real chance of the game.

We should have scored in the 75th min when the ball was just asking to be hit by our beloved captain after Chamakh got a head to it via a Gibbs cross from the left, but he sent the ball over the bar. 2 mins later we were 1-0 down. Tamas Priskin put Ipswich ahead after holding of Djourou quite brilliantly. Some may say he was offside but nobody gives a **** what they say. It was horrible football from Arsenal…

There is nothing more to write after this point. We attacked like hell but they defended better! Here is my advice : Go out and enjoy yourself. Try and forget about this match. God, How I wish I had one of those ‘memory eraser thingy’s’ from the film Men In Black…

Good Day……
